Ford Motor Co. bills a new midsize crossover for China as an affordable application that slots between a EcoSport and Kuga.
The Territory, to be introduced early subsequent year, was grown with Ford’s joint-venture partner, Jiangling Motors Corp.
The car comes with a gasoline engine, a 48-volt amiable hybrid complement or a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Available record includes an infotainment complement with Mandarin voice authority and
the automaker’s Co-Pilot360 apartment of driver-assist features.
“It’s a really singular product for China,” Jim Farley, Ford’s boss of tellurian markets, told Automotive News.
Ford is targeting entry-level business outward of China’s biggest cities. It says midsize application sales in that nation grew 38 percent from 2012 to 2016.
