Toyota-backed companies will form self-driving venture, news says

TOKYO — Four Toyota organisation companies will form a corner try to mix self-driving technologies to improved contest with retailer giants such as Robert Bosch, a Nikkei business daily reported on Friday.

The new company, to be set adult by Denso, Aisin Seiki, Jtekt and Advics, will move together technologies such as braking and steering, the Nikkei said.

Denso is approaching to reason a infancy stake.

The new company, to be launched by a finish of this year, will essentially supply Toyota though also aim European, U.S. and Chinese automakers, a Nikkei said.

Denso, Aisin and Jtekt declined to criticism when contacted by Reuters. Representatives for Advics could not be immediately reached for comment.
