VW signs deals for EVs, unconstrained pushing in China

FRANKFURT — Volkswagen Group has agreed to cooperate with China’s FAW Group and a China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Research Institute (ICV) on technologies including e-mobility, connectivity and unconstrained driving.

VW pronounced on Tuesday it had sealed Memorandums of Understanding with a dual groups during a revisit by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang to Germany.

VW aims to sell around 1.5 million new appetite vehicles in China in 2025.

To strech that goal, it skeleton to hurl out around 40 locally done full-electric vehicles and plug-in variety underneath the VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat brands as good as underneath a new corner try with JAC announced on Monday.

“By 2022 Volkswagen will jointly with the partners in China yield around 15 billion euros for destiny topics such as e-mobility, unconstrained driving, digitalization and new mobility services,” it said.
